Etiology, clinical and laboratory characteristics, and outcomes in patients with acute viral hepatitis

Introduction and Aim: Kyrgyzstan is one of the most focused countries in WHO European Region for acute viral hepatitis. The objective this study to evaluate etiology, clinical laboratory characteristics, outcomes patients with Materials Methods: This a prospective conducted on 122 hepatitis at our hospital from March 2017 June 2020. diagnosis was based standard case definition: sudden onset symptoms a) illness (fever, malaise, weakness); b) liver damage (anorexia, nausea, jaundice, dark urine, right upper quadrant tenderness); c) elevation activity alanine aminotransferase more than ten times compared normal levels. Results: One hundred twenty-two hepatitis, including A virus - 44 (36.1%), B 45 (36.9%), C 11 (9.0%), unspecified etiology 22 (18, 0%). Patients unidentified diagnosed through anti-HSV IgG detected 19 (86.4%) cases, anti-EBV 18 (81.8%) 14 (63.6%) anti-CMV were present. Conclusion: demonstrates need consider herpes viruses differential lesions.
